How to transfer data between two computers using LAN wire?

Data between two computers is transferred at a high speed using a LAN wire. If you are friend has a large size file or some setup sort of thing in his computer or Lappy and you are in need of it, then it is not that easy to use pen-drive and copy from this PC to that PC. Sometimes it is not possible and sometimes it is ( depends on the nature of file).
So, it is necessary to transfer without loss of data and at good speed. Here comes the use of LAN wire, which transfers data at high speed and without any loss. The process is as follows.
1) Connect the LAN wire between the PCs
Now do, the following steps in both the PCs
2) Turn off the firewall, which is present in the Control panel in "System and Security" tab (If your control panel is in category view) or else you can find the "firewall" tab directly in the control panel.( If view is in large or small icons).
(view by category)

(view by large icons)
3) Once again open the Control Panel, click on "network and sharing center". And in this window, click on "Change Advanced sharing settings" in the left panel and choose
  • Turn on Network Discovery
  • Turn on file and printing sharing
  • Turn on sharing so that others with network access can read and write files in public folders
  • Turn off password protected sharing
4) Go to control Panel and go to Network and sharing center, click on " change adapter setting".

5) Now right click on "Local Area connection" and select properties. In the properties, you find networking tab and below that you find some text like "The connection uses the following items:" In those items, select " internet protocol version 4" and double click on it. And then click on "use the following IP address" and type in some IP address as "10.3.12.3" for PC No.1 and some "10.3.12.4" for PC No.2 or they can be upto you. Remember, in the IP address, last digits must be different, remaining can be upto you.

6) After entering the IP address click Ok.
7) Now choose the folder you want to share and make it a shared folder.

The procedure for making a folder into shared is as follows
  • Right click on the folder and choose "properties".
  • Now go to "Sharing" tab and look for "share" tab and click on it.
  • In that you will find a "drop down list", asking to whom you want to share with, then, select "everyone". After that, you can choose the "permission level" you want to give that particular user.
  • Now click on share and you are done.
8) From PC No.2 go to Start \ Accessories \ Run or just use “windows + R” to directly open Run tab.

9) Type the IP address of PC No.1 like this "\\10.3.13.3". Remember "\\" is compulsory.

10) Now, you will find the shared folder on the PC No.1 and you can just copy it to your PC No.2.
