How to block the start-up of unnecessary applications in Windows 7?

Sometimes, after installing many applications that we need, we can eventually note that, some applications do start functioning along with the system start up and appear in the notification area. The icons appear in the notification area as soon as the system logs into the home screen. You may ask me, if so, what's the loss? I can give you 2 answers. The first one is, its your wish and is upto you. The second one is, it loads your RAM than usual and makes the start up of system slow.
For those, who stick with the second answer, here is the procedure to stop them starting automatically.

  1. Click on the "start" button and search for "system configuration"
  2. Click on "system configuration" and you can find some tabs like General. Boot, start up, services and tools
  3. Click on "start-up" tab and uncheck the applications that you don't want to start automatically
Remember, don't uncheck some applications like antivirus and others which are essential. Type in the comments box below for any queries. For more updates follow our Facebook page.
