3-D transistors

The 3-D Tri-Gate transistors set a change to the 2-D transistor structure that has made all the computers,electronic goods etc..to work till date.

Scientists from Intel once again reinvented the transistor basing the Moore's law (The number of transistors that can be placed inexpensively on an integrated circuit doubles approximately every two years).

The 22nm 3-D Tri-Gate transistors provide up to 37 percent performance increase when compared to Intel's 32nm planar transistors. This suggests that they are ideal for using in small devices which consume low power.

This helps in improving the current devices' performance and also provides chance to develop new devices.
