      Long ago, it was barter system. People used to trade the goods among themselves. They used to offer the goods that are in myriad, in exchange to the goods that are in dearth for them. It was, in this way, trade was evolved. Later, it was with bronze and other metal coins used for trade and called it as selling and purchasing. And now it's money that is being used for transactions. 

     Along with this, the interests of people also evolved and varied from one-another. Basic necessities are not the only ones that people are buying now. Market too has evolved. Manufactures and business men made things that enticed people to buy the things that are creative and good looking. So, in this process of creating new things and buying, market's revenue has been multiplied.

    There must have been a thought in a business man's mind that, "why not make use of the immortal Internet for buying and purchasing." This was an idea from a brilliant mind, I must say. Many online outlets have been opened. Let us consider Flipkart, which is  an online outlet that sells clothes, shoes, belts,kids toys, books etc.. It's website flipkart.com has a global Alexa ranking of 176. It's rank nationally i.e. in India is 11. There are similar sites and outlets namely Amazon, Jabong etc. 

     Why I said this idea as brilliant is because, these online outlets have changed the way people shop. In my case, earlier, I used to go to brand outlet somewhere in my city to buy a shirt which costs say, 2000 bucks. As, I can't compromise on quality and as I have no other option left except to buy the one I like, I should afford 2000 bucks. But now, with unrelenting offers and discounts, I am able to buy the shirt of same quality, brand and the one like for a much cheaper rate. Cheaper rates have been the key mantra for the success of online outlets.

     This is modern day shopping. A revolution has been brought in the way people shop. There is no need to roam on roads and buy the goods. Sit before you desktop, browse the online outlet, select the one you like. Other advantage here in the online shopping is the flexibility of payment that includes options like cash on delivery or credit cards for instant payment on the site itself.
