Indians disliked Apple launching iPhone 4S at much higher price than its US retail price. With a launch price of Rs.44,500, the product will be costlier than in any other nation. But,the product will be available 10% cheaper in any online shopping site.
"Most customers who wanted the 4S are internet savvy. They took price cues from other markets," said an industry executive who has been monitoring the response in India, "For instance, in the US the iPhone 4S was launched at the same price as the iPhone 4, while in most other countries, it was only marginally higher, hence the shock."
Another thing is that the warranty for iPhone is valid only in the country which it is bought.The prices of different models of iPhone 4S in India is listed below.
According to ET, the executives from Aircel and Airtel declined to comment on this.
