10,000 tweets per second

                           The death of Steve Jobs created a sensation in the digital world. The reaction was so intense that 10,000 tweets per second were recorded in Twitter. It was the biggest online reaction for any event recently. The previous best was when Beyonce revealed that she was pregnant in MTV video music awards i.e; 8868 tweets per second. The next two were 7196 tweets per second when Japan bet USA in women's soccer and 5000 tweets per second when Bin laden was dead, as per ET.
