Research In Motion (RIM) has sold about 250,000 Playbook tablets in the first month after its launch, according to ET.
Though, it failed to make an initial impact like iPad,yet it is about to target half a million by the end of this quarter. The recall of 1,000 PlayBooks which have flawed OS has not reportedly impacted on the sales.
Though it is far off from iPad, it was mentioned that PlayBook was selling much better than Motorola's Xoom tablet which runs Android.
The seven-inch, Wi-Fi-only PlayBook comes in three models, featuring 16, 32 and 64 gigabytes of storage capacity, and in the price range of $499 to $699.
RIM has also mentioned that it will launch 3G and 4G versions that run on wireless networks later this year.
