New privacy mode for Apple products

Apple has new plans for iPhone,iPad,iPod. The plan is to provide a new privacy mode for the devices.This mode allows user to steer display light beams in a range of directions so that only someone looking directly at the device would be able to read what is displayed on the screen. From periphery others could find a blank display. A number of professions may find this feature very appealing, according to Geeky Gadgets.

The patent also vaguely points to this technology being used in association with a future pico-like projection system and/or 3D Holographic Display.
